Each of the following pages will help introduce pre-university students to activities that help them learn engineering principles while integrating teamwork into the experience. These opportunities are also a great way to interact with other students who have an interest in engineering. They are often offered through universities with engineering programs, or organizations and companies with an interest in engineering.

Multiplying Your Options Summer Camp
Multiplying Your Options (MYO) camp at the University of Akron is a one week summer day camp for girls in the seventh and eighth grades that introduces the girls to mechanical, electrical, biomedical, civil, chemical, and mechanical polymer engineering. This camp will be held from June 21st through June 25th, 2010. Each day is comprised of hands-on engineering activities in the morning led by our talented faculty and is followed by dynamic tours of local engineering firms in the afternoon. The students also spend the week working as a team, designing an edible car and competing against other student teams at the end of the week. REGISTRATION BEGINS MARCH 1st , 2010. Registration forms can be found on www.wiep.uakron.edu. Completed registrations must be recieved by March 31st, 2010.
