The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation will select up to five students for the Kauffman-Singapore Scholars Program at Nanyang Technological University. The scholars will focus on how to take innovative ideas developed in the laboratory and turn them into businesses with growth potential and strong appeal for the rapidly expanding Asian marketplace.
The Foundation will provide tuition, room and board, and travel expenses for the selected scholars. Students will be responsible for their own personal expenses.
Students educated in engineering, science, or technology must apply online by Feb. 10, 2009. Candidates must be on schedule to earn a baccalaureate degree in Spring 2009 or have earned a baccalaureate degree or master's degree within the past three years (preferably from a college or university located in Missouri or Kansas.)
Following completion of the academic program in Singapore, the scholars will spend a week at the Foundation headquarters in Kansas City, where they will participate in interviews and discussions with Foundation staff.
Applicants currently enrolled in post-graduate programs are also eligible.
